

New Assistant Curator
The Fire Museum of Maryland would like to announce our new Assistant Curator; Eric M. Kelso has joined the staff. Kelso arrived on March 6th in time for the arrival of the new boiler for our 1899 American Fire Engine Co., Steam Fire Engine. This Old Fire Engine
In 2015 the Fire Museum's only functional steam fire engine was put out of commission when the boiler was deemed unsafe. This began a two year endeavor of raising money, finding a boiler maker, and completely rebuilding our 1899 American Fire Engine Company steamer from Lawrence-Cedarhurst, NY. Birthday Parties at the Fire Museum
There is one thing we never get tired of seeing here at The Fire Museum of Maryland, and that is watching kids’ jaws drop when they walk through our front door. “Awesome!” they shout, when they see our more-than 40 pieces of gleaming fire equipment. We know for certain that little hearts beat faster at the sight of a fire engine. That’s probably why parties at The Fire Museum are such a perfect fit for birthday girls and boys.
